1st stand of viola, Tsing Hua Symphony Orchestra

I'm a music lover and I have practiced the viola and piano since I was 4 years old. Because of my abundant performing and training experiences in playing the viola, I was selected as the first stand of viola in Tsing Hua Symphony Orchestra for 4 years in college and performed more than 20 concerts on public stages such as National Concert Hall.

§ Recent music experiences and honors:
  • Music competitions (piano): Winner of NTHU concerto competition (2017)
  • 1st stand of viola in NTHU Symphony Orchestra (2014-2018)
  • 1st prize of viola solo in The National Music Contest Finals (2011).
  • 1st prize of piano quintet in The National Music Contest Finals (2011).
  • Composer of the graduation song of Zhong-Shan Girl Senior High School (2014).
  • Piano accompanist of the Choir in Zhong-Shan Girl Senior High School (2011-2014)

    I won the National Tsing Hua University concerto competition in 2017 and I performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No 2 which is one of the most popular and recognisable concertos in the classical repertoire. Click to see my video:   Youtube Link

    Student Volunteer

    I really like children. Hence, I served as a Student Volunteer to launch a Musical Charity Camp for countryside elementary schools. In this event, we taught those children to play the string insturments.

    Violaist in NTHU AI Orchestra

    As a music lover with computer science background, I joined the NTHU Artificial Intelligence (AI) Orchestra during my graduate years, performing the music generated by Artificial Intelligence Virtual Artist (AIVA), the most well-known electronic composer.

    We also have concert in October this year and we're going to perform The 'Unfinished Symphony' refers to Schubert's Symphony No.8 in B minor which is composed by Huawei techonology, combining human expertise (from Emmy-award winning composer Lucas Cantor) with the Artificial Intelligence (AI).

    Leadership

    Team Manager, NTHU table tennis team

    I joined NTHU table tennis team and served as team manager in my college life for 2 years. I performed management duties such as supporting the coach with matters relating to the team, organizing equipment for team practices and games, taking photos and preparing foods for team memebers during the competition. During the second year I stayed in the team, we won the table tennis competition in Mei-Chu Tournament which is an annual sports competition between National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) and National Chiao Tung University (NCTU).

    Leader of Team Mentors, NTHU CS Camp

    In 2016, I served as Leader of Team Mentors by leading 20 mentors to train 100 participated senior high school students in the CS Camp. The CS Camp is an annual event launched by undergraduate students from NTHU CS to train senior high school students with basic computer science knowledge so as to motivate them to study computer science.
